MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ENGINEER Location: Gainsborough Salary: £38,(Apply online only) – £39,(Apply online only)  Shift: Monday – Friday Days (07:30 – 16:00) Job Role of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer A days-based opportunity has become available for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join a fast-paced, heavy industrial manufacturing site. This is a hands-on role within a physically demanding environment, working on large-scale plant and conveyor systems where reliability is critical to production. The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance, ensuring equipment is running safely and efficiently at all times. The role involves working on conveyors and associated machinery, carrying out routine maintenance such as lubrication, and supporting the installation and setup of blades to high tolerance standards. You will also play a key role in reducing downtime, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and working closely with operations to keep production running smoothly. Sector – Factory Maintenance Heavy industrial / manufacturing environment with a strong focus on plant reliability, safety, and continuous improvement. Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Mechanical Bias  Engineering Apprenticeship or Relevant Experience Engineering Qualification Manufacturing / Factory Background Strong experience working on conveyors Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance Strong mechanical fault finding skills Experience with plant equipment, bearings, belts and chains Ability to work as part of a multi-skilled engineering team Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to complete maintenance documentation accurately Proactive approach to health & safety and housekeeping Physically fit and able to work in a demanding environment Comfortable working at heights Desirable Requirements of the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Welding and fabrication experience Background within Food, FMCG, Agricultural or Heavy Industrial environments The Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will benefit from: Salary £38,(Apply online only) – £39,(Apply online only) Monday to Friday days role Overtime available at 1.3x 25 days holiday Death in service Yearly bonus scheme New starter bonus (post probation) Refer a friend scheme On-site food trucks If you are interested in this role and feel that you have the right skills, then please click apply at the bottom of this advert.
