Join us.Job DescriptionThe Client Account Director (CAD) will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with key clients in the Grid Modernisation sector.The CAD is a high-visibility role that builds long-term relationships with key accounts with a growth client centric focus and influences AECOM’s internal strategy through sales and business development leadership. The successful post holder must be a strong visible leader who is able to inspire, motivate and build teams, and communicate effectively. They will collaborate across all Business Lines and Operating geographies to bring the very best of AECOM to our clients.As the CAD for our EURI Energy team, you will be the primary contact for AECOM's relationships across our Grid Modernisation accounts which are strategically important at a regional, business line & global level. You will have responsibility for developing, growing and sustaining our business working across our company to offer solutions that deliver, using all our relevant capabilities and local and global expertise. Bringing the best of AECOM to the client, on time, every time. This role will include supporting and embedding client account initiatives, processes and systems across the program. Roles and Responsibilities:Accountable for meeting key growth business plan objectives for their client portfolioSupport Capture Managers to win and project managers to deliver the large programs of workAim to raise AECOM’s profile and brand with our clients and across the energy sector through adding value, delivering innovation, and being a voice in the sectorDriving sustainable and profitable growthConnects internal teams to the client vision and ensures the team is client focused to enable our clients to get the best AECOM experience every timeMentors other team members in building strong relationships across the organizationActively supports the attraction and retention of business development talentAccountable for AECOM’s overall financial success with the client in partnership with Project LeadershipEstablishes effective management processes to ensure high quality delivery, technical excellent client service experienceIdentifies areas of high risk and pro-actively takes actions to positively impact outcomesManage consistent approaches to working with the clientIdentify long-term and disruptive trends in their area of expertiseChampion for ethnical and safe working practicesManages AECOM business development activities within the clientLeads the capture of significant new business opportunities and the renewal/extension of existing large-scale agreements within the accountDrives growth in pipeline of potential projects and repeat workMonitor client projects to ensure high quality delivery, technical excellence and consistent client service experienceIdentifies evolving resourcing needs for client portfolio and escalates within the energy sectorEnsure high levels of client satisfaction by addressing concerns, providing solutions, and maintaining regular communicationRecognized by their clients as a primary contact with AECOMDevelops client contacts and networks within the client’s business and meets client contacts regularlyWorks effectively with colleagues in the Strategy, Marketing and Communications teams to maximize the end-to-end approach to client development and work winningDevelops a network across the AECOM business to learn and share the best practice client account management approach. Performs and promotes the leadership behaviours enshrined in the AECOM core values – Collaborate, Innovate, Deliver, Sustain, Thrive, Safety, Ethics & QualityQualificationsRole Requirements: The successful candidate will be an outstanding leader with extensive and relevant Grid Modernisation experience at a senior level, in a fast-paced and complex commercial environment. You must be highly strategic with outstanding customer engagement, strong business acumen and the emotional intelligence to lead to achieve full potential while navigating a complex customer ecosystem.Here’s what we’re looking for:Experience of operating at a senior level within either infrastructure advisory, or a comparable consulting / professional services or engineering business managing client accounts into the Energy sector.In-depth knowledge of the Grid Modernisation sector;Strong commercial acumen with an inquisitive and curious mindsetA natural networker, comfortable engaging with Government and clients and speaking at relevant industry events.Experience must demonstrate sales production metrics, demonstrated skills in business development strategy, team leadership, client discovery and development of compelling value propositions that meet client’s needs.Preferred:Bachelor’s degree in Business, energy, or a related fieldPrevious experience in working with grid modernization clientsAdditional InformationWe celebrate diversity, including neurodiversity, and believe it enriches our team.
