Stores Operative

Job Title: Stores Operative with FLT (Counterbalance) Location: Stafford Park Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour Start Date: Monday 11th May  End date: End of July Pertemps are currently looking for a reliable and hands-on Stores Operative to support our busy stores team over the coming months. This is a fast-paced and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll be working closely with our existing Storekeeper to keep goods moving efficiently through the business during a particularly busy period. Key Responsibilities: Unloading deliveries and checking goods against delivery notes Booking goods into the system (ERP experience preferred) Moving and organising stock within stores and across the shop floor Handling a wide range of items – from small components (nuts, bolts, fittings) to large machined parts and fabrications Kitting parts for production Packing and preparing orders for dispatch Occasional local collections from suppliersRequirements:  Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (7T preferred, 3.5T minimum) Previous stores/warehouse experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment PC literate with experience using ERP systems (Epicor desirable but not essential) Comfortable working in a physically active, fast-moving environment Flexible and willing to support overtime when required - Time 1/2 Saturdays / Double Time SundaysThe Ideal Candidate:  You’ll be someone who thrives in a busy, sometimes unpredictable environment.
