Learning Support Assistant - Year 4 (1:1 ASD & ADHD Support) Islington, N7 (commutable from Tufnell Park, Holloway, Kentish Town, Camden, Archway) £105-£120 per day Start Date: ASAP Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary-permanent Long Term Futures is seeking a calm, patient and consistent Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with ASD and ADHD in a welcoming Islington primary school. The pupil has an EHCP and benefits from a supportive adult who can build trust, provide structure and help them stay engaged in learning. This role is ideal for someone with a steady, grounded presence, who can remain calm under pressure and support emotional regulation throughout the school day. About the Role Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo, your responsibilities will include: * Providing dedicated 1:1 support throughout the school day * Supporting a pupil with ADHD and ASC to maintain focus and engagement * Using calm, clear and consistent communication strategies * Supporting emotional regulation and helping the pupil manage overwhelm * Encouraging positive behaviour through rapport, routine and reinforcement * Avoiding overly directive or confrontational approaches, instead using a patient and measured style * Supporting learning across the KS2 curriculum This role requires someone who can offer consistency, resilience and a positive presence, helping the pupil feel secure and supported.
