About the role

Position: Teacher of Science Location: Southend-on-Sea Salary Scale: £120–£320 per day Contract Type: Full Time, Permanent Start Date: September 2026 GSL are seeking an enthusiastic Teacher of Science to support students in a secondary school setting. This role involves delivering high-quality Science lessons within a modernised and well-resourced department, helping students develop strong scientific knowledge, practical skills, and critical thinking. You will work alongside experienced teachers and support staff in a school that values innovation, high standards, and continuous improvement, helping students access the curriculum, build confidence, and achieve their full academic and personal potential. If you are an experienced teacher, Early Career Teacher (ECT), or a passionate individual with strong subject knowledge and a desire to inspire young people, we would love to hear from you. You will have opportunities for professional development and will support students in a range of settings, including: Delivering engaging Science lessons across a range of topics Supporting exam preparation and assessment readiness Monitoring and supporting student progress through targeted feedback Enrichment and extracurricular activities such as STEM clubs, trips, and wider school events As a Teacher of Science, you will play a key role in supporting students’ academic progress and personal development. You will work closely with colleagues and other professionals to deliver high-quality teaching and create a positive learning environment that enables all students to succeed.
