Description Manage VAT compliance processes, including preparing and reviewing VAT returns. Provide technical VAT advice to internal stakeholders on property transactions and other business activities. Ensure compliance with UK VAT legislation and monitor changes to regulations. Conduct VAT audits and identify opportunities for process improvements. Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate VAT reporting and risk management. Support in the preparation of VAT-related documentation for external audits and inspections. Act as the first point of contact for VAT-related queries across the organisation. Assist in training and developing team members on VAT matters.Profile A successful VAT Manager should have: A professional qualification in tax or accounting, such as CTA, ACA, or ACCA. Proven expertise in VAT compliance and advisory work, particularly within the property industry. Strong knowledge of UK VAT legislation and its application to property transactions. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate complex VAT concepts clearly to non-specialist stakeholders.
