Position: Senior Site Engineer Location: Sizewell Salary: From £50,000 to £70,000 Employment Type: Permanent The Senior Site Engineer position is required in Ipswich for our client operating within the civil engineering industry.

Senior Site Engineer Job Overview Manage daily site operations for piling, drilling, and soil stabilization works, ensuring work aligns with project plans and specifications Lead technical troubleshooting and resolve onsite issues related to ground engineering activities using tools such as AutoCAD, MS Project, and soil testing equipment Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits, and progress meetings, preparing detailed reports and documentation Monitor project progress against milestones, updating schedules, managing deviations, and implementing corrective actions Liaise with clients, consultants, and project managers to communicate progress, technical challenges, and contractual compliance Senior Site Engineer Job Requirements Relevant UK qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Civil Engineering, HNC, or HND, with a strong understanding of ground engineering principles Minimum 5 years' experience managing piling, drilling, and soil stabilization projects on active construction sites Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Project, Excel, and site management software, including soil testing and geotechnical reporting tools UK-recognised health and safety certifications such as CSCS and SMSTS; NEBOSH or equivalent is advantageous Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage subcontractors, and oversee technical aspects of complex ground engineering projects Strong awareness of UK construction regulations, compliance standards, and NEC contractual frameworks (preferably NEC4) Senior Site Engineer Salary & Benefits Salary Range: £50,000 to £70,000 annually 25 days holiday plus UK statutory holidays, with options to purchase additional leave Pension: 5-10% employer contribution xwzovoh via salary sacrifice scheme Bonus: Up to 10% discretionary annual bonus based on performance Company Car or Car Allowance (£5,200 per annum) Private Medical Insurance, Life Assurance, Income Protection Subsistence allowance where applicable Company-provided or flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
