About the Role
We’re looking for an experienced Unit Manager to take the lead at a busy diagnostic imaging service in Northampton.
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a highly autonomous role where you’ll be responsible for the overall performance of the unit, leading the team, driving growth, and ensuring a high-quality, patient-focused service.
You’ll work closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and referrers, playing a key role in both the operational success and future development of the service.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the day-to-day running of the diagnostic unit
- Managing and developing a multidisciplinary team
- Driving service performance, growth, and patient outcomes
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with referrers and stakeholders
- Monitoring referral trends and identifying opportunities for growth
- Managing budgets, costs, and financial performance
- Ensuring effective stock control and resource management Overseeing operational processes and maintaining service quality
- Promoting best practice and sharing insights across the wider organisation
About You
- Proven experience in a management or operational leadership role
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Commercially aware with a good understanding of performance and growth
- Confident working autonomously and making key decisions
- Strong communicator, able to build relationships with a range of stakeholders
- Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused
Skills & Experience
Essential:
- Experience managing teams within a healthcare or operational environment
- PET CT or Nuclear Medicine experience
- Strong xwzovoh Leadership experience, and know how to operate a team
- Strong financial awareness and budget management experience
- Ability to analyse performance data and drive improvements
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Confident using IT systems and reporting tools
Desirable:
- Experience within diagnostic imaging or healthcare services
- Knowledge of NHS pathways and working with external referrers
- Experience supporting business development or contract growth
