Print Team Operative - Public Sector
Duration: Temporary assignment until 31 August 2026
Pay Rate: £13.90 per hour (paid weekly)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (some flexibility required),Full‑time - 37 hours per week
Location: PL6 5WS - Fully onsite role with parking available on a first‑come, first‑served basis
Role Overview
We're looking for a proactive and detail‑focused Print Team Operative to support with daily print workflows, operate manual and automated machinery, and ensure high‑quality output. You'll carry out production tasks such as cutting, trimming, folding, and inspecting printed materials, while performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and coordinating engineer callouts when needed.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day‑to‑day print and dispatch workflow to meet SLAs
Operate print room machinery and complete manual production tasks
Perform quality checks, adjust machine settings, and inspect output for defects
Liaise with the Service Desk to resolve system issues quickly
Conduct basic fault diagnostics and maintenance
Coordinate dispatch with carriers, ensuring correct labelling and documentation
Work closely with internal teams, clients, and suppliers to resolve issues and provide updates
Ensure compliance with health & safety standards
Please note, in this role you will be on your feet for most of the day. There will be some manual handling too. You will need to be able to move files around equivalent of around 10kg in weight.
Essential Experience
Proven ability to deliver fast, accurate, high‑quality output
Strong communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Familiarity with MS Office 365
