- £50,000 annual bonus Role Overview The Production Planner is responsible for creating and maintaining effective production plans and schedules to support on-time delivery, efficient use of resources, and adherence to quality and compliance requirements.
Key Responsibilities Create and maintain production plans and schedules based on customer demand, capacity, and material availability.
Translate demand and ERP/MRP outputs into practical, achievable production schedules.
Coordinate with manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and quality teams to ensure plans are executable.
Track performance against plan, identify risks or constraints, and drive corrective actions.
Support re-planning arising from engineering changes, shifting priorities, or supply issues.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date planning data within ERP/MRP systems.
Produce regular reports on schedule adherence, capacity utilisation, and delivery performance.
Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve planning accuracy, lead times, and efficiency.
Ensure all planning activities are conducted in line with company policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Essential Experience in a production planning, manufacturing planning, or scheduling role within a manufacturing environment .
Working knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and core production planning principles.
Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Analytical, detail-orientated, and data-driven.
Desirable Experience working in a regulated or quality-critical environment.
Exposure to change control, capacity planning, or demand management.
Continuous improvement mindset (Lean / CI familiarity).
APICS / CPIM or similar qualification. xwzovoh
Qualifications HNC/HND, degree, or equivalent experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations, engineering, or a related discipline.
