Are you ready to be at the forefront of the automotive revolution? E-ppl, a powerhouse in Managed Services for global OEMs, is gearing up for an explosive end to the year. We are looking for elite Battery Technicians to join our specialist team in Solihull for high-impact, long-term contracts.
Key Responsibilities
In this critical role, you will be the final line of quality and technical execution for cutting-edge electric vehicles, with a specific focus on high-voltage systems.
HV Battery Replacement: Safely depower vehicles, drop depleted or defective high-voltage battery packs using specialized workshop lifts, and accurately install new units.
High-Voltage Safety & Isolation: Strictly adhere protocols and high-voltage safety standards to protect yourself, the team, and the vehicle.
Advanced Diagnostics: Perform pre- and post-installation software checks to ensure new battery packs communicate flawlessly with the vehicles Battery Management System (BMS).
System Inspection: Audit battery enclosures, high-voltage wiring harnesses, and thermal management/cooling systems for integrity and correct routing during the replacement process.
Quality Assurance: Maintain meticulous records of diagnostics, component serial numbers, and rework actions to ensure strict OEM compliance and traceability.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: IMI Level 2 or Level 3 Award in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Repair and Replacement, Authorised person or Senior Authorised person.
Experience: Proven track record as an Auto Electrical Technician or EV Mechanic, ideally with experience working directly within OEM environments, launch phases, or end-of-line repair.
Technical Rigor: Deep understanding of electrical diagnostics, CAN bus systems, and high-voltage safety protocols.
Hardware Skills: Confident operating heavy-duty hydraulic lifts, battery tables, and alignment equipment.
Mindset: An elite, detail-oriented technician who thrives in a fast-paced environment and refuses to compromise on quality or safety.
