HGV Technician

Bradford and Marsh are recruiting for an experienced HGV Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle organisation based in Plymouth. This is a varied and hands-on role within a busy workshop environment, ideal for someone with experience working on HGV trucks who can confidently carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs to a high standard. Key Responsibilities in this role as a HGV Technician: * Interpret instructions from job cards and carry out repairs in line with manufacturer standards * Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV vehicles * Accurately record all work completed, including any additional faults identified * Attend training and stay up to date with the latest technical information * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment * Ensure all duties are completed efficiently and to a high standard * Support the reputation of the business through high-quality workmanship * Follow all health & safety regulations and company procedures Requirements for this HGV Technician role: * City & Guilds Level 3 in HGV Mechanics (or equivalent) * Previous experience as an HGV Technician, ideally within a workshop or dealership environment * Experience working with trucks or related sectors such as agricultural vehicles * Strong attention to detail and diagnostic skills * A positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work as part of a team * Good communication skills * Full UK Driving Licence Why Apply? * Competitive rates of pay * £2,500 joining bonus (after successful probation) * Rotating shift pattern (Monday to Friday) * Overtime available (Saturday shifts paid at time and a half) * 25 days holiday plus bank holidays * Pension contributions up to 8% * Annual bonus scheme * Health Cash Plan & Gym Membership * Life cover * Company car scheme (VW Group vehicle every 6 months) * Additional benefits including Ducati discount and mortgage overpayment scheme If you feel that you have the skills to be successful in this HGV Technician role, please apply now.
