Procurement Co-ordinator (contract) The Company: With the company's success continuing to grow steadily, they are looking at expanding the work force on site in order to maintain production levels. They are a market leader within a cellular manufacturing industry and are looking forward to another successful year within this marketplace. The business has shown consistent growth and is constantly developing new systems to maintain their competitive advantage in existing markets. The successful Procurement Co-ordinator will receive support and development which will provide you with an excellent opportunity to further yourself and progress your career within a continually expanding business. The Role: * Manage excellent working relationships with regular consumable suppliers via email, over the phone and face to face. * Make sure that consumables are delivered, booked in, and made available to the Shop Floor so as not to stop the flow of work in the channels. * Identify critical items and make sure the Supply Chain in place is secure in the future provision of these items. * Be capable of using the SAP MRP system and analysing future needs based on regular communication with the planning and manufacturing teams. * Progress outstanding deliveries. * Resolve invoicing and booking in queries to ensure prompt payment – metals, keyboards, paper etc. * Work with the IT department to develop, standardise, and improve the efficiency of the ordering system including creating standardised ways of working (etc. SOPs & Databases, like PowerBI, etc) * Liaise with the Environmental, Health and Safety team to make sure that the company has up-to-date information on products supplied, and that new and existing products being purchased are within company and legal guidelines. * Make sure that stock levels are kept up-to-date and that the correct inventory levels are in the MRP system. * Respond to urgent requirements in a timely manner to support the flow of production. * Compare price and lead time between suppliers to find the most acceptable solution in line with cost and delivery targets * Control stock levels and timely delivery of shelf-life items * Introduce new suppliers where appropriate using the relevant internal processes. * Responsible for own health and safety and that of anyone who may be affected by this activity, and cooperate with the company in respect of health, safety, and environmental matters.
