Job Title: CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn) Location: Castle Donington, Derby Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Salary: £33,500 – £36,400 per annum + 12% shift allowance + overtime About the Role We are currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machinist (Mill-Turn) to join a busy and growing precision engineering and manufacturing environment. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be responsible for setting and operating multiple CNC machines, ensuring production targets and quality standards are consistently achieved. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established operation offering stable, long-term employment with regular overtime available. Key Responsibilities * Set and operate multiple CNC machines in line with standard operating procedures * Work to defined productivity targets and deadlines * Manufacture components to tight tolerances and engineering specifications * Use a variety of inspection equipment to ensure product quality and accuracy * Follow all Health & Safety guidelines and company procedures * Maintain high standards of housekeeping in line with 5S principles * Work collaboratively within a team to achieve departmental objectives * Carry out any additional duties as reasonably required Skills & Experience Required * Proven experience setting and operating Mill-Turn CNC machines * Familiarity with Mazak and/or Fanuc control systems * Background in precision engineering or manufacturing environments * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Confident using inspection tools and measurement techniques * Good communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work independently with minimal supervision * Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach Working Hours (2-Shift Pattern) Morning Shift: * Monday to Thursday: 6:00am – 2:00pm * Friday: 6:00am – 1:00pm Afternoon Shift: * Monday to Thursday: 2:00pm – 10:00pm * Friday: 9:00am – 4:00pm What’s on Offer * Competitive salary with shift allowance * Overtime opportunities * Stable, full-time position * Supportive team environment * Opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing setting If you have the required CNC machining experience and are looking for your next opportunity, we would love to hear from you.
