HGV Mechanic

Bradford and Marsh are recruiting for an experienced HGV Mechanic / Technician to join a well-established commercial vehicle organisation based in Preston. This is a hands-on role within a busy workshop environment, ideal for someone with strong experience working on HGV trucks who can confidently carry out maintenance, servicing, and repairs to a high standard. Key Responsibilities in this role as a HGV Mechanic / Technician: * Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGV trucks * Interpret job cards and repair orders, ensuring all work is completed accurately * Diagnose faults and identify any additional work required * Accurately record work completed and any tests carried out * Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment * Keep up to date with the latest technical training and industry developments * Work collaboratively as part of a team to meet workshop targets * Ensure all work complies with health & safety and company procedures Requirements for this HGV Mechanic / Technician role: * Minimum 3 years’ experience in an HGV / Heavy Vehicle Technician or Mechanic role * City & Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance (or equivalent) * Experience working within a workshop or dealership environment * Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills * A positive attitude with the ability to work well within a team * Full UK Driving Licence Why Apply? * Up to £45,000 OTE * £2,500 joining bonus (upon completion of probation) * Pension contributions up to 8% * Annual bonus scheme * 25 days holiday with option to purchase additional days * Ongoing manufacturer training and technical support * Career progression within a global organisation * Additional benefits including cycle to work scheme, health cash plan, and employee referral bonus * Excellent on-site facilities If you feel that you have the skills to be successful in this HGV Mechanic / Technician role, please apply now.
