Grid Connection Manager Location UK | Hybrid with Site Travel Employment Type Full Time | Permanent Salary Competitive + Car Allowance + Benefits Overview We are seeking an experienced Grid Connection Manager to support the delivery of utility scale solar PV and BESS projects across the UK. This role is suited to candidates with a strong background in grid connections, HV and MV systems, and DNO or ICP processes. You will play a key role across the full project lifecycle, from early stage development through to commissioning and energisation. Key Responsibilities • Manage grid connection across utility scale solar PV and or BESS projects • Provide technical input during development on all grid related aspects • Review and assess grid offers from DNO and TNO providers • Support business development with connection costs, timelines and risk analysis • Manage and submit grid applications, ensuring timely progress through approvals • Build and maintain strong relationships with DNO and TNO stakeholders • Review MV and HV designs and support preliminary design stages • Manage contractors and suppliers across grid connection scope • Support commissioning of MV and HV infrastructure • Oversee protection testing and certification processes Essential Requirements • Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering • Proven experience in grid connection within utilities, solar or infrastructure • Strong knowledge of MV and HV systems and protection • Experience working with DNO, TNO or ICP processes • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills • Full UK driving licence Desirable Qualifications • Experience with grid standards such as VDE or equivalent • Simulation or modelling experience • Switching or authorisation experience Working Pattern and Benefits • Competitive salary and package • Car allowance • Private medical insurance • Pension contribution • Hybrid working with site travel • Opportunity to work on large scale renewable energy projects
