YR1 Primary Teacher

Year 1 Primary Teacher Hazlemere, Buckinghamshire (HP15) September Start | MPS/UPS Supply Desk is working in partnership with a warm, welcoming, and supportive primary school in Hazlemere (HP15) to recruit an enthusiastic and committed Year 1 Teacher for a September start. This role is ideal for a teacher who is passionate about early learning, confident supporting the transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1, and dedicated to helping pupils develop strong academic and personal foundations in a nurturing classroom environment. The Role As a Year 1 Teacher, you will deliver a structured yet engaging curriculum that supports pupils as they move into more formal learning, while still incorporating play-based, practical, and child-centred approaches. Key responsibilities include: Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the Year 1 National Curriculum Supporting pupils through the EYFS to KS1 transition Delivering high-quality phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy teaching Creating a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment Assessing pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs Differentiating learning to support a range of abilities Working collaboratively with teaching assistants and KS1 colleagues Building strong relationships with pupils, parents, and staff Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Experience teaching in Year 1 or Key Stage 1 (ECTs welcome, particularly with relevant placements) Strong understanding of the Year 1 curriculum, phonics, and early learning strategies Confident classroom and behaviour management skills A nurturing, patient, and enthusiastic teaching approach Availability for a September start Ability to commute to Hazlemere, HP15 What We Offer Pay in line with MPS/UPS, dependent on experience Long-term teaching opportunities Ongoing support from experienced, local education consultants Access to CPD and training, including phonics, safeguarding, and behaviour management 24/7 CPD Learning Hub to support professional development Opportunity to work within supportive and well-resourced primary schools How to Apply If you are a Year 1 Teacher seeking a September role in Hazlemere (HP15), we would love to hear from you.
