BMS Service & Small Works Engineer

BMS Service Engineer Location: South & Central London Salary: Up to £55,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus About the Role An established and growing Building Management Systems specialist is seeking an experienced BMS Service Engineer to join its expanding service division. This field-based role combines planned and reactive maintenance with small works and project support across commercial and mixed-use sites throughout South & Central London, with occasional travel to surrounding areas including Surrey, Berkshire and Croydon. The position offers exposure to a range of BMS platforms including Trend, Tridium, Distech and Delta Controls, alongside ongoing training and development opportunities. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive call-outs Diagnose and resolve faults across BMS systems Support small works, upgrades, and system improvements Assist with commissioning activities where required Produce service reports and technical documentation Build strong relationships with clients and internal teams Participate in a 24-hour call-out rota (approx. 1 in 5 weeks) Identify remedial and upgrade opportunities on client sites Experience Required Essential: Experience within the BMS / Building Controls industry Strong service and fault-finding background Experience with Trend systems Full UK driving licence Desirable: Exposure to Tridium / Niagara systems Small works or commissioning experience HVAC / mechanical plant knowledge Skills & Attributes Strong technical and diagnostic ability Self-motivated and capable of working independently Excellent communication and customer-facing skills Organised with strong time-management skills Proactive and solution-focused approach Salary & Benefits Salary up to £55,000 Car allowance circa £4,800 per annum Overtime available: Saturday: time-and-a-half Sunday: double time Quarterly bonus / commission on remedial and upgrade works 25 days holiday + bank holidays Pension scheme (5% employer contribution) Private healthcare & Medicash plan EV salary sacrifice scheme Ongoing training and development opportunities
