About the role
Our client is seeking a reliable and skilled Mobile Maintenance Handyman to support a nationwide retail contract.
This mobile role involves travelling across Scotland and the Highlands to carry out general maintenance, repairs, and small installations across multiple shop premises.
You'll respond to reactive callouts and complete planned works, ensuring each site remains safe, functional, and well‑maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out general maintenance tasks across retail sites, including basic plumbing, joinery, and electrical work
Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions in a timely manner
Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with relevant regulations
Support store setups and reactive maintenance activities
Undertake minor repairs, installations, and general upkeep of shop premises
Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, organised working environment
Travel between multiple sites across Scotland and the Highlands as required
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally
Requirements
Proven experience in a handyman or maintenance role
Skills in plumbing, joinery, and basic electrical work
Full UK driving licence
Own vehicle (desirable)
Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
Strong problem‑solving skills and high attention to detail
Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to changing priorities
Strong work ethic and a proactive approach
Desirable (but not essential)
Relevant trade qualifications
Experience working in retail environments
Knowledge of health & safety regulations
