The Role This is a hands-on supervisory role where you’ll be at the heart of the factory, working closely with the Production Manager to keep operations running smoothly, efficiently, and to a high standard. You’ll be leading from the front — supporting the team, driving productivity, and ensuring quality is never compromised. * Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:00pm * Contract: Self-employed for the first 3 months, with a clear pathway to a permanent position What You’ll Be Doing * Liaise with the Production Manager to ensure jobs are completed and dispatched on time * Keep production running efficiently and ensure deadlines are consistently met * Carry out quality checks to maintain high standards and compliance * Support operatives on a day-to-day basis, providing guidance and problem-solving support * Lead, motivate, and develop the factory team * Maintain a safe, clean, and organised working environment * Conduct 1-2-1s with operatives to support performance and progression What We’re Looking For * Previous supervisory experience within a joinery or furniture manufacturing environment * Hands-on experience operating machinery (CNC experience advantageous) * Confidence using or learning computer-controlled machinery * A proactive attitude * Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality * Willingness to learn, develop, and grow within the business * A reliable, professional approach to work What You’ll Get in Return * Company uniform provided * On site parking * Death in Service benefit * Cycle to Work scheme * 20 days annual leave + your birthday off * Extra 1-day annual leave per year of service (up to 25 days) * Long-term, stable workload within a growing business * Opportunity to step into a key leadership role * Ongoing training and development * Clear progression opportunities as the company continues to grow Why Join LFS?
