Freelance Site Manager Salford 8 weeks Start date: 18th May We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee a short-term project involving refurbishment works and asbestos remediation on a live university site. The role requires a strong focus on health & safety, coordination of specialist contractors, and maintaining project timelines within a sensitive, occupied environment. Key Responsibilities Oversee all on-site activities, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and to specification Ensure strict compliance with health & safety procedures Liaise with university stakeholders and subcontractors Monitor progress and report on programme milestones Maintain accurate site records and documentationRequirements Proven experience as a Site Manager on refurbishment projects Valid SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work Asbestos Awareness Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to manage works in a live/public-facing environmentBuilding Careers UK are specialist in Construction and Property recruitment.
