Management Accountant

Management Accountant Location: Portsmouth, circa £60k A unique opportunity has arisen for a qualified Management Accountant to join a high‑performance organisation. This is a fast‑paced, hands‑on role within a small, collaborative finance team supporting a major international project. About the Role You’ll take ownership of budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting across a complex, multi‑year technical project. Working closely with operational and technical leaders, you’ll ensure financial clarity, strong cost control and high‑quality insight that supports critical decision‑making. Key Responsibilities Manage the full programme budget and consolidate financial forecasts Partner with budget owners to maintain accurate reporting and cost visibility Strengthen financial controls and approval processes Deliver FP&A reporting for senior stakeholders Maintain the financial risk & opportunity register Oversee finance systems and support new system implementations Support month‑end processes, including accruals Manage cashflow forecasting and assist with payments Take ownership of specific budget areas, including insurance Provide flexible support across a small, agile finance team Contribute to system integrations linking design, procurement and finance workflows About You Required: ACCA or CIMA qualified Strong financial reporting experience Proven forecasting and cash management skills Project accounting experience is a strong preference Strong systems capability and comfort working across multiple platforms Benefits Competitive salary and benefits package 25 days annual leave plus public holidays Pension scheme Private medical insurance Life assurance Cycle to Work scheme Opportunity to contribute to a world‑class, cutting‑edge programme This role is office based in Portsmouth and is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can bring ideas and energy and looking to take the next step in their career.
