Repair Technician (Electronics) – Defence Location: Waterlooville, Hampshire (Onsite) Salary: £35,000 – £55,000 Type: Permanent About the Company Our client is a leading provider of engineering and support services within the defence and national security sector. They are responsible for maintaining critical systems that ensure operational reliability and performance across the UK. The Role An opportunity has arisen for a Repair Technician to join a specialist engineering team. This is a hands-on, workshop-based role focused on diagnosing, repairing, and testing electronic equipment to component level. You will play a key role in ensuring equipment is fully functional, compliant, and ready for use, supporting the delivery of essential services. Key Responsibilities * Fault finding and diagnosis of electronic units down to component level * Repair and testing of electronic assemblies and units * Ensuring all equipment meets safety and compliance standards * Supporting engineering activities including modifications and upgrades * Maintaining workshop tools, test equipment, and spares Requirements * Experience in electronics repair and component-level fault finding * Strong understanding of electronic testing and diagnostics * Minimum 3 years’ experience in a relevant role * Electronics or electrical qualification (RF experience desirable) * Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance Desirable * Experience with RF or radar systems * Background in defence, aerospace, or similar regulated environments * Experience with reverse engineering or complex electronic assemblies
