Primary Teacher - SEN Specialist Provision (SEMH)
Location: Withywood
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: MPS/UPS (paid to scale)
We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Primary Teacher to join our SEN specialist provision in Withywood, working with a small Key Stage 2 class of pupils with Special Educational Needs, predominantly Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher who is committed to inclusive education and making a genuine difference to children who require a nurturing, structured and trauma-informed approach to learning.
The Role
Teach and support a small KS2 class within a specialist SEN provision
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation and social development
Work collaboratively with support staff, SENCOs, therapists and external agencies
Create a calm, safe and supportive classroom environment where pupils can thrive
The Ideal Candidate
Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Has experience working with pupils with SEN and/or SEMH needs (desirable, not essential)
Is patient, flexible and empathetic with a strong understanding of behaviour as communication
Demonstrates excellent classroom management and relationship-building skills
Is committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice

Essential Criteria:
- Able to work 5 days a week (term time only), Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30
- Right to work in the UK - we CANNOT accept sponsorship or a skilled worker visa
- Minimum two recent references, covering the last two years
- Up-to-date DBS/police check, or be willing to obtain one*
*Please note, if you do not have a Non-Voluntary Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, we will need to help you process a new one at a cost of £62.70. This will be refunded after 20 days of work with us.

Pay: Five Education operates a PAYE payroll; this is the most transparent way to be paid with no hidden fees such as admin fee or employer's NI. Please note pay rate is for illustration and does include holiday pay.
