Salary: £16–£20 per hour (DOE)

A well-established precision manufacturing company is currently looking to add an experienced Spring Maker to their production team in Manchester. The business specialises in the manufacture of high-quality springs and wire formed components used across a range of industrial sectors.

This role will involve the setup, operation, and adjustment of spring coiling and wire forming machinery to produce components to precise specifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate spring coiling and wire forming machines
• Manufacture compression, extension, torsion, and flat springs
• Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Carry out quality inspections using measuring equipment
• Work with a variety of materials including stainless steel, music wire, and specialist alloys
• Maintain machine tooling and ensure efficient production processes
• Support prototype development and production runs

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Spring Maker, Spring Coiler, or Wire Former
• Experience setting and operating spring manufacturing machinery
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of spring manufacturing processes and materials
• Experience using precision measuring equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards

Experience working with CNC spring machines or automated coiling equipment would be advantageous.
