You’ll be machining precision components that don’t just sit on a shelf, they travel across the UK and beyond, supporting projects within the oil and gas sector. Key Responsibilities * Work from schematic and mechanical GA drawings * Set, operate and programme CNC turning machines * Write CNC programmes from scratch and troubleshoot issues * Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and component availability * Machine a variety of materials including aluminium, mild steel, stainless steel, leaded bronze and plastics * Ensure all work meets quality standards and specifications * Follow company policies and maintain a safe working environment in line with health and safety procedures Skills & Experience Required * Minimum 5 years’ experience as a CNC Turner Setter Programmer * Strong ability to write programmes from scratch and problem-solve effectively * Experience with CNC programming languages and software (Prototrak and Siemens preferred) * Familiarity with XYZ machines is advantageous * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings * High attention to detail and commitment to quality * Strong communication skills and a proactive approach * Relevant qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ in Mechanical Engineering) beneficial
