Location: Gillingham, Medway, Kent
Start Date: September 2026 or ASAP
Academics are working in partnership with a specialist SEND school in Gillingham , who are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team on a long-term basis from September, with the potential for the role to become permanent. For the right candidate, an earlier start may also be available.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a supportive and well-established SEN setting, where a child-centred approach and strong teamwork are at the heart of everything they do. Experience supporting or leading within a SEND team would be highly desirable.
The Role:
Full-time SEN Teacher position
Working with pupils with a range of needs including ASD, communication difficulties, and complex needs
Teaching small class sizes with strong TA support
Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to EHCPs
Working closely with SENCOs, therapists, and support staff
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
Previous SEN experience is desirable
Minimum of 1 year UK teaching experience
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Enhanced DBS on xwzovoh the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
