Roofing Learning Facilitator

Location: LeedsWorking Pattern: Term Time OnlySalary: £16 per hourContract Length: Fixed-term (expected to end Friday 10 July 2026, with likely extension subject to review)

The Role

Reed FE is seeking an experienced and motivated Roofing Learning Facilitator to support learners in developing practical roofing skills within an educational setting. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified roofing professional who is passionate about sharing their industry knowledge and supporting young people to succeed.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 8.15am – 4.15pm
  • Total hours: 37 hours per week
  • Term Time Only: 36 weeks per year

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and facilitate practical roofing sessions for learners
  • Promote safe working practices and maintain a positive learning environment
  • Assist learners in developing practical, technical, and employability skills
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider education teams
  • Act as a positive role model for learners

Required Qualifications

  • Level 2 Qualification in Roofing
  • GCSE English and Maths (grades A*–C / 9–4) or Level 2 equivalent
  • A valid Forklift Truck Licence would be highly desirable but is not essential.
  • Enhanced DBS Check (Child Workforce) dated within 3 months or registered on the Update Service
