Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Pump Engineer required to join a leading electromechanical engineering supplier near Huddersfield.
The Successful Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Pump Engineer will provide fitting, stripping, and rebuilding of pumps such as centrifugal, axial, gear pumps, piston progressive cavity and similar at the workshop in Huddersfield.
The Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Pump Engineer will have a good electromechanical engineering background such as pumps, valves, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, generators, or similar electromechanical engineering products or systems.

Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Pump Engineer role:
Will provide fitting, stripping, and rebuilding of pumps such as centrifugal, axial, gear pumps, piston progressive cavity and similar at the workshop in Huddersfield.
Will also carry out electrical fault finding, testing, and wiring of electromechanical products such as pumps, valves, heat exchangers and more, ensuring all components are correctly fitted and operational before delivery.
Conduct quality control checks and testing of pumps and pump systems to verify performance standards and compliance with safety standards
Ability to complete technical documentation as work is progresses.
To perform other duties as assigned from time to time and liaise with various engineering departments.
Mechanical Fitter / Workshop Engineer / Pump Engineer Requirements:
Experience as a pump engineer, pump fitter, fitter, hydraulic fitter, hydraulic engineer, valve technician, installation engineer, pump installation engineer, mechanical fitter, electromechanical fitter, mechanical engineer, service engineer, electrical engineer, workshop engineer, service technician or similar.
Good electromechanical engineering background such as wiring, circuitry, pumps, valves, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, compressors, generators, or similar electromechanical engineering products or systems.
Will ideally have the experience and ability to conduct testing and control checks on electromechanical machinery such as pumps, hydraulics, pneumatics, valves or similar.
An engineering qualification, Apprentice trained, HNC, HND or Degree would be advantageous would be advantageous.
Willingness to commute to the workshop in Huddersfield
