Qualified Roofer – Solar PV Projects (Non‑ECO Work)
Location: South Wales
Salary: £32-40,000 + performance bonus
Employment Type: Full‑time, Permanent
Overview
UnifyHQ are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Roofer to join a well‑established renewables team delivering high‑quality, non‑ECO Solar PV installations across South Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled roofer who takes pride in their workmanship and wants consistent, well‑planned work within a professional and supportive environment. Individual roofers and established roofing teams with Solar PV experience are welcome to apply.
The Role
Roofing works associated with Solar PV installations
Installing and making good Solar PV mounting systems
Working across a range of roof types including slate, concrete, clay, flat and pitched
Ensuring all penetrations are sealed correctly and roofs are left fully weatherproof
Identifying and reporting roof defects before installation
Working closely with electricians and project teams on site
Maintaining high standards of health and safety, including working at height
Ensuring all work meets manufacturer guidance and company quality standards
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience as a Roofer
* Demonstrable experience working on Solar PV installations
* Strong knowledge of roof structures and weatherproofing
* Experience across multiple roof types
* High standards of workmanship and attention to detail
* Solid understanding of working at height and site health and safety
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable (Not Essential)
CSCS card
PASMA / Working at Height training
Experience working alongside electricians on renewables projects
Established roofing team or mate available
