Reference: JOB-8554Network Engineer | Cisco | Routing & Switching | Palo Alto | Enterprise Networks | Central LondonWe're partnering with a global media technology and connectivity organisation to recruit a Network Engineer for its established UK infrastructure team.This is a broad, hands-on position supporting a complex multi-site network environment underpinning business-critical media, corporate and customer services.Rather than operating within rigid support tiers, you'll take ownership across the network, from day-to-day troubleshooting and operational support through to infrastructure improvements, network projects and design-related work.What you'll be doingSupport, operate and improve a multi-site enterprise networkConfigure and troubleshoot Cisco routing, switching and wireless infrastructureManage network security and Palo Alto firewallsTroubleshoot complex network and connectivity issuesWork across operational support, network upgrades, projects and designSupport resilient IP infrastructure carrying business-critical servicesWhat we're looking for5+ years' hands-on enterprise/campus networking experienceStrong Cisco routing and switching skills, ideally Catalyst and NexusPractical knowledge of BGP, OSPF and/or EIGRPEnterprise firewall experience, ideally Palo AltoStrong Layer 2/3 networking and troubleshooting knowledgeCCNP-level knowledge or working towards certificationExperience with multicast, video-over-IP or media/broadcast networks would be advantageousExperience with IP multicast, video-over-IP, datacentre networking, private circuits or media/broadcast infrastructure would be advantageous, but isn't essential.Package£65,000 base salary10% annual bonusPrivate medical insuranceLife insurancePensionHybrid working – 2 days per week in Central London, 3 from homeOccasional international travelOpportunity to develop further across advanced networking, security and IP-based media technologiesIf you're a hands-on Network Engineer looking for a role where you can work across Cisco networking, security and complex IP infrastructure rather than being limited to a narrow support function, I'd be happy to tell you more.
