About the role

Enterprise Architect – Energy & Utilities

We are seeking an experienced Enterprise Architect to support a major technology and transformation programme within the Energy & Utilities sector.

This role requires an architect with genuine Energy, Power or Utilities domain experience, capable of working across complex enterprise IT, operational technology and control-system environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and develop enterprise architecture across complex Energy & Utilities programmes.
  • Assess current technology landscapes and define future-state architecture and roadmaps.
  • Lead IT solution and domain assessments across utility environments.
  • Work across enterprise IT, Operational Technology (OT) and control-system architecture.
  • Define integration approaches across complex legacy, on-premise and modern technology platforms.
  • Work closely with business, engineering, architecture and delivery teams to translate strategic requirements into practical technology solutions.
  • Provide architectural governance and guidance throughout programme delivery.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders, technical teams and third-party technology vendors.

Required Experience

  • Strong experience as an Enterprise Architect / Senior Solution Architect on large-scale technology transformation programmes.
  • Demonstrable experience within Energy, Power or Utilities.
  • Strong enterprise and solution architecture experience across complex technology environments.
  • Experience in one or more of the following:
  • SCADA / Control Systems
  • ADMS
  • Power Systems
  • Electricity transmission or distribution
  • Operational Technology (OT)
  • Strong understanding of IT/OT integration, systems integration and enterprise technology architecture.
  • Experience assessing legacy and on-premise environments and defining future-state solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Working Arrangements

The position requires 3 days per week on-site in Belfast.

Candidates must have full legal right to work in the United Kingdom for the duration of the assignment.
