Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant Location:Stockport, Greater Manchester Start Date: ASAP Salary: £95 – £120 per day Hours: Full Time Are you experienced in supporting children and young people with complex and diverse special educational needs? This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked in a UK SEND school and is confident supporting students with a range of needs including: PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties) ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs) Complex and medical needs Key responsibilities: Providing tailored 1:1 or small group support to pupils with complex learning needs Assisting with personal care, feeding, and mobility as required Using calm and effective strategies to de-escalate challenging behaviour Promoting independence, communication, and emotional regulation Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals The ideal candidate will have: Proven experience working in a UK SEND school (essential) Knowledge of supporting students with PMLD, SLD, ASD, SEMH or complex needs Confidence in managing challenging behaviour and following behaviour support plans A caring, patient, and adaptable approach If you’re looking for a rewarding role where you can truly make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.  Call Zahra on (phone number removed)  Email  to apply today!  About TeacherActive TeacherActive is one of the UK’s leading education recruitment agencies, with over 20 years of experience supporting schools and placing teachers and support staff into rewarding roles.
