People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver or Truck Driver.
Shifts: Monday to Friday: 7.00am and 11.00am starts
Pay rate : £16.00 - £17.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties
Your duties as a Class 2 Driver will involve but not limited to:
Operate and drive a Class 2 vehicle in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly.
Adhere to traffic laws and regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers.
Maintain accurate records of shipment, mileage, and fuel consumption.
Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management.
Essential Skills
As a Class 2 Driver you will need to:
Hold a valid UK C Class – Class 2 Licence
Have a minimum of 24 months experience driving a Class 2 vehicle.
No more than 6 penalty points and no major endorsement codes.
Have an in-date UK CPC Card & UK Digi Card.
Must be able to speak and read a certain level of English.
Use a Tail Lift and Pallet Truck
Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills.
Effective communication skills.
Flexibility and availability to work overtime as and when required.
Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines.
Desirable Experience
Experience driving a Class 2 vehicle
Training
Two days worth of industry related training and ongoing support throughout.
