About the role
Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting a committed and compassionate SEN Level 1 Teaching Assistant to work across specialist SEN provisions in the East Lindsey area of Lincolnshire. These settings support pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and a range of Learning Disabilities, providing structured, inclusive, and supportive environments where children and young people are encouraged to develop confidence and independence.

The Role:
As an SEN Level 1 Teaching Assistant, you will:
Support pupils with Autism and Learning Disabilities throughout the school day
Assist teachers and SEN staff in delivering personalised and engaging learning activities
Provide one-to-one and small group support tailored to individual needs
Encourage positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and social development
Help create a calm, safe, and inclusive learning environment
Use a patient, consistent, and nurturing approach to support pupils with additional needs
The Ideal Candidate Will:
Have a genuine passion for supporting children and young people with SEN
Have experience within SEN or a willingness to develop knowledge of Autism and Learning Disabilities
Be adaptable and confident supporting individuals and small groups
Demonstrate strong communication skills and a caring, professional approach
Hold a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant SEN experience (desirable but not essential)
Hold an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to apply
Have the legal right to work in the UK
Pay:
£13.80 - £15.80 per hour, dependent on experience
