This is a fantastic opportunity for a Mechanical Estimator or Senior Mechanical Estimator to join a well-established M&E Building Services contractor delivering a range of commercial, education, and healthcare projects, typically valued from £100k to £3m.

The Role As a Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for mechanical building services projects, working closely with pre-construction, commercial, and delivery teams.
You will play a key role in the tendering process, ensuring submissions are both technically accurate and commercially competitive, with clear visibility across project scope, risks, and opportunities.
Key Responsibilities Preparing detailed cost estimates for mechanical building services projects
Reviewing tender documentation, specifications, and drawings
Producing accurate take-offs and pricing schedules
Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations
Supporting bid submissions and tender presentations
Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth handover to delivery
Identifying value engineering opportunities where appropriate
Requirements Experience working as a Mechanical Estimator or Senior Mechanical Estimator within the Building Services sector
Strong understanding of mechanical building services systems
Experience pricing commercial building services projects
Good technical and commercial awareness
Ability to interpret drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team
Remuneration Package Mechanical Estimator / Senior Mechanical Estimator £60,000£75,000
Car allowance or company vehicle (including EV options)
Bonus scheme
Private healthcare (Bupa)
Hybrid working (typically 12 days from home)
