Our longstanding client the Shropshire Council is currently recruiting for a Passenger Assistant. Candidates must have SEN experience and the willingness to ensure the student's needs are met during their journey to and from school. Duties: * Ensuring the students have a safe journey to and from school * Correctly handling wheelchairs to ensure they are secure * Communicating with the driver * Communicating with parents at drop-off and pickup * Position does not include driving Required: * Always acting compassionately * Working calmly * Remain professional in all situations * Must drive due to the location of the depot * 0 hour contract You will be given full wheelchair training, driver assessment and route training. Should you be a suitable candidate a full enhanced DBS will be undertaken. Job Type: Part-time Work Location: In person
