About the role
Qualified Early Years Educator in Newham
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Expected hours: Up to 35 hours per week
Responsibilities:
- Create and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities for children in the early years
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through play-based learning
- Observe and assess children's progress and provide feedback to parents
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, behaviour, and developmental milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns
Experience:
- Previous experience working with children in an early years setting
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Familiarity with curriculum frameworks such as the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Ability to create engaging and interactive learning experiences for young children
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children

Level 3 Early Years qualification or equivalent
