Mobile Tool Fitter

CRS are currently sourcing a Mobile Tool Fitter (small tools), for one division of our hire clients business. This is an excellent opportunity for someone to join a front leader in the industry, supported by a great team with further training opportunities available. This is a field-based role covering the Bedfordshire area, proffered candidates will live in the area or close enough to commute daily. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS A MECHANICAL MAINTENANCE ROLE AND APPLCIANTS MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE AND PREFERRABLY A MECHANICAL QUALIFICATION, HOWEVER SIMILAR WORK EXPERIENCE WILL BE CONSIDERED. This position is ideal for someone with a background in small plant, mechanics, agricultural, or construction equipment who enjoys working independently while being supported by a strong wider team. You’ll play a key role in keeping essential equipment operating safely and reliably, working directly at customer sites and taking ownership of your day-to-day workload. Mobile tool fitter requirements: * Time-served, qualified Plant Fitter, Mechanic or work experience in a similar role would be considered. * Full UK driving licence * Ability to plan your workload and manage time effectively. * Solid working knowledge of small plant engines (petrol, 2-stroke, 4-stroke, and diesel) is a distinct advantage. * 12-volt electrical systems knowledge * Maintenance of battery-powered tools. Mobile tool fitter duties: * Carrying out maintenance, servicing, and repairs on company and customer equipment on site. * Working independently and as part of a team to ensure all equipment meets manufacturer specifications. * Completing job documentation accurately and following safe working practices at all times. * Managing van stock levels and ordering parts as required to stay fully equipped You’ll also be required to pass a standard Drug & Alcohol medical. Complete PTS (Personal Track Safety)training — all fully arranged and supported by the client.
