With ambitious plans to expand into hydrogen storage and establish an in-house energy trading desk, it's at the forefront of energy innovation.As a Senior Software Engineer you will collaborate closely with quantitative analysts and data scientists to turn research models into reliable, production grade software.

You'll play a key role in strengthening the engineering foundations behind power price forecasting, flexible asset optimisation and trading, helping the business scale its trading operations.You'll take ownership of the Python codebase across forecasting pipelines, optimisation and dispatch systems for assets such as battery storage, gas and hydro, as well as trading, simulation and backtesting environments.Working alongside quants, you'll refactor research driven code into clean, maintainable and extensible components without compromising model accuracy. You'll establish engineering standards, improve software architecture and interfaces and strengthen testing, error handling, logging and observability.You'll also optimise performance critical code, making effective use of vectorisation, parallelism and memory management.
