About the role
Senior Logistics Manager EMEA
£75,000 - £85,000 DOE + Bonus + Benefits
South East UK / Home Counties (Hybrid)
Most logistics roles ask you to manage.
This one asks you to take control.
We are supporting the search for a Senior Logistics Manager to operate within a global technology and electronics business delivering high-performance consumer products across international markets.
The organisation has built a sophisticated supply chain, with manufacturing in Asia, a central European distribution model, and multiple routes to market across retail, distribution and direct-to-consumer e-commerce.
The operation supports high-frequency product movement across multiple European markets, with significant shipment volumes across both B2B and e-commerce channels.
What it does not yet have is a single individual owning how logistics actually works across EMEA.
That is the purpose of this role.
The role
You will take ownership of transportation and trade coordination across EMEA, ensuring that logistics execution is aligned with commercial demand and operational priorities.
Your core focus will be on road and air freight operations, managing capacity, performance and execution across these modes. You will also maintain visibility across the wider global supply chain, where exposure to ocean freight is advantageous but not essential.
You will manage logistics service providers, align forecasts with execution, monitor cost and performance, and resolve issues in real time within a fast-paced, matrix-led environment.
This is a hands-on role. You will not sit above the operation.
You will be in it.
What you will walk into
From day one, you will be operating within a live, high-volume logistics environment where:
Road and air freight capacity must be managed daily across multiple markets
Forecasts and actual demand do not always align
Logistics partners need to be challenged and held accountable
Stakeholders across sales, operations and compliance have competing priorities
Service levels must be maintained, even when conditions are not idealThere is no extended transition period.
You will be expected to quickly understand the operation, build credibility, and begin bringing structure and control.
Why this role is different
This is not about maintaining a well-structured environment.
It is about improving one.
You will have the opportunity to:
Take ownership of logistics execution across EMEA
Influence how transport, planning and compliance work together
Operate with visibility at senior level
Shape how a growing business scales its logistics capabilityHow success will be measured
Success in this role will be defined by your ability to:
Create clear ownership and visibility across logistics activity
Improve alignment between demand, planning and execution
Deliver measurable improvements in service, cost and performance
Strengthen logistics partner accountability and output
Bring consistency and control to a previously fragmented environmentWhy this is worth a move
This role offers a genuine step forward for someone who wants:
Broader ownership across EMEA, rather than a single-country or siloed role
Greater visibility and influence within a global organisation
The opportunity to improve and shape how logistics operates
Exposure to a fast-moving, commercially driven environmentIt is particularly attractive to individuals who feel they are currently:
Operating within too much structure
Lacking influence over decision-making
Or ready to take on a more central, high-impact roleWhat this role is not
This is not a purely strategic role removed from delivery.
This is not a role where you inherit perfection.
This role will not suit you if
You prefer highly structured environments with clearly defined boundaries
You are uncomfortable operating without full information
You prefer analysis over action
You are not motivated by ownership and accountabilityWho this will suit
You are likely already operating in a complex logistics or supply chain environment within a global, matrix organisation.
Your background may include technology, electronics, e-commerce, retail, FMCG or advanced logistics environments.
You are likely degree or master's educated and bring strong grounding in logistics and transportation.
You have deep experience in road and air freight, with the ability to manage providers, influence performance, and resolve operational issues.
You are analytical and comfortable working with data, using tools such as Excel or business intelligence platforms to support decision-making.
More importantly, you are someone who:
Takes ownership rather than waiting for direction
Is comfortable operating in ambiguity
Challenges constructively
Wants to improve how things workYou are not looking for something easier.
You are looking for something that matters.
