Prospero Teaching is currently seeking passionate, dedicated, and experienced 1:1 Tutors to support children across Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole (BCP). This is a highly rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of young people who may require additional academic and emotional support outside of mainstream education settings. As a Tutor or Mentor, you will deliver personalised sessions tailored to each student's individual needs, focusing primarily on functional skills and life skills. Sessions are flexible and can range from a few hours per week to more consistent support, depending on the learner. You will also be responsible for completing weekly feedback reports to monitor progress, highlight achievements, and support ongoing development. This role often involves working with vulnerable learners, including Children Looked After (CLA), many of whom are based in children's homes. Therefore, resilience, empathy, and a strong commitment to safeguarding are essential. Applicants who are able to drive and travel within the BCP area are highly desirable. Role Details: Location: Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Position: Tutor/Mentor Start Date: ASAP Contract: Ongoing, part-time, flexible hours Pay: £25-£30 per hourRequirements: Right to Work in the UK Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one) Minimum 1 year experience in an educational setting Two child-related professional referencesRelevant qualifications such as QTS, QTLS, PGCE, or equivalent, and up-to-date safeguarding training are desirable but not essential.
