Senior Buyer / Procurement Manager – MEP Contractor Location: Bristol (covering multiple projects across the South West) Salary: Up to £70,000 + Excellent Benefits Package Package Includes: * Up to £70,000 basic salary * 8% pension contribution * Car allowance * Private healthcare * Bonus scheme * Opportunity to work with a market-leading MEP contractor on major projects exceeding £50 million The Opportunity: A market-leading MEP Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join their established commercial and procurement team based in Bristol. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering multiple high-profile mechanical and electrical projects across the South West, with project values in excess of £50 million. You will be responsible for leading procurement strategies across a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects, ensuring the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, plant, and subcontract packages while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. Key Responsibilities: * Manage procurement of mechanical and electrical materials across multiple projects * Source and negotiate subcontract packages including specialist M&E services * Develop and maintain strong supplier and subcontractor relationships * Secure best value through strategic purchasing and negotiation * Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and material availability * Collaborate closely with commercial, operational, and project delivery teams * Ensure procurement activities align with project budgets and timelines * Support risk management and supply chain resilience strategies Candidate Requirements: * Proven experience as a Senior Buyer, Buyer, or Procurement Manager within the M&E / MEP sector * Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical building services procurement * Experience procuring both materials and subcontract packages * Background working with MEP contractors or major building services companies * Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills * Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously * Strong communication and stakeholder management skills * Ideally based within commutable distance to Bristol Why Apply?
