Wind Turbine Technician

Summary:

Our client, a leading green energy supplier, is looking for a Wind Turbine Technician to join their team. In this role you will maintain a fleet of onshore wind turbines across the UK , working as part of a small, remote team to ensure generation assets operate at the highest standards. Key responsibilities include performing preventive and corrective maintenance , fault-finding and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems , repairing or replacing main components , and accurately completing all computerised documentation and reports . Key responsibilities:

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on wind turbines
• Fault-find and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
• Repair or replace main components as needed
• Complete all computerised documentation and reports accurately
• Maintain operational integrity and uphold a strong safety culture onsite
• Work effectively within a small team or independently on remote sites

Skills and Experience:

• Electrical or mechanical qualification (NVQ Level 3 minimum) or equivalent relevant experience
• Proven electrical or mechanical maintenance, fault-finding, and repair experience
• Strong computer literacy and ability to complete documentation accurately
• Comfortable working at heights up to 100m and in physically demanding environments
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Self-motivated, organised, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
• Commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence
• Comfortable working at heights and in physically demanding environments
• Full, clean UK driving licence with the ability to travel and stay away from home across the UK at short notice

Role: Wind Turbine Technician

Location: Gloucestershire (UK-wide travel required)

Travel: You will be based at the Service Centre in Woodchester but must be flexible to work away from home at short notice.

Salary: £40,000 – £46,326 + overtime + shift allowance + company van, full PPE, training, and tooling
