MAG Welder

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting: We are looking to a for MAG Welders for a long-term contract based with our client in Scunthorpe. Immediate start available (subject to interview and weld test) Rate of pay is £22.00 per hour (Monday to Friday) This position does have the potential to go permeant for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Carry out MAG welding on carbon steel components Perform fillet and butt welds (ML position) to a high standard Complete single-sided, full penetration butt welds with no backing Weld in PA (flat) and PB (horizontal-vertical) positions Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols Ensure all work complies with quality and safety standards Conduct visual inspection of welds and rectify defects where necessary Maintain a clean and safe working environmentRequirements Proven experience in Carbon MAG welding Qualified or previously tested in: Fillet welds - ML Butt welds - ML Positions: PA / PB Single-sided, no backing, full penetration butt welds Ability to work from technical drawings Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Relevant welding certificationsIn the first instance, send CV's to (url removed) or call (phone number removed) (option 1) for Engineering.
