KS1 SEN Teacher

Summary This full-time, long-term position is ideal for an experienced educator with a background in Special Educational Needs (SEN). The successful candidate will work closely with a small group (8-10) of Year 1 and Year 2 children who require additional support due to their individual needs and are awaiting or on EHCPs. Key Responsibilities - Deliver tailored teaching to a small group of 8-10 children with SEN, ensuring their individual needs are met in accordance with their EHCPs and school policies. - Plan, prepare, and adapt lessons to accommodate the diverse needs of pupils, fostering an inclusive classroom environment that promotes confidence and independence. - Provide 1:1 support to students as required, working collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff to implement effective strategies. - Support classroom management and behaviour regulation, promoting positive behaviour and respecting the school's values of kindness, respect, and resilience. - Contribute to the development and implementation of personalised education plans, tracking progress and providing feedback to the SENCO and wider team. - Assist in creating a nurturing environment that encourages social, emotional, and academic growth, aligning with the school's commitment to holistic development. - Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and support the delivery of high-quality education across the primary phase. - Engage with parents and carers as appropriate, maintaining open communication to support the child's ongoing development.
