I am working with a welcoming primary school in Harrow seeking to appoint a Year 5 Teacher from September 2026.
Responsibilities of this Year 5 Teacher role:
Stay up to date with educational research and policy developments through training, workshops, and professional reading, while actively implementing school and local authority initiatives.
Promote a positive and inclusive school culture by modelling excellent teaching practice, supporting colleagues, and contributing to wider school life and external partnerships.
Plan and deliver a high-quality, inclusive curriculum across the primary phase, ensuring all pupils are challenged and supported to achieve strong progress across core and foundation subjects.
Monitor pupil progress effectively, using assessment data to identify needs, implement targeted interventions, and close learning gaps to raise attainment.
Collaborate closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to meet individual pupil needs and ensure consistent communication around learning and development.
The Ideal Candidate for this Year 5 Teacher role will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching KS2
Be committed to delivering engaging, inclusive, and well-structured lessons
Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Be a reflective, proactive team player with a positive attitude towards continuous improvement
