BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT WORKER

Job Title: Behaviour Support Worker Location: Dinnington Pay rate: 105 Per Day Start Date: Immediate Contract type -Day-to-day/ Long-term, Full-time/ Part-time  Are you passionate about supporting young people to make positive choices and succeed in school? GSL Education are currently hiring dedicated Behaviour Support Workers to work in schools across Dinnington. This is a rewarding opportunity to work closely with pupils who need additional guidance in managing their behaviour and engaging with learning. As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will help create a calm, structured, and supportive environment where pupils can develop confidence, self-control, and positive relationships. Key Responsibilities of Behaviour Support Worker: Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with behavioural needs. Support pupils in managing emotions and making positive behaviour choices. Work alongside teachers and pastoral staff to implement behaviour strategies. Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage engagement. Support pupils during lessons, transitions, and unstructured times. Record observations and feedback on pupil progress and behaviour. Essential Requirements: Experience working with children or young people, ideally in a behaviour support role. Calm, patient, and resilient approach to challenging situations. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to remain consistent and professional at all times. Genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.
