Quality Lab Analyst
Location: Kirriemuir
Pay Rate: £14.30 per hour
Shift Pattern: Double day shifts
Job Type: Full-time
Overview

This role would suit someone who enjoys a mix of laboratory testing, problem‑solving and collaboration with production teams, and who wants to develop their experience within a structured quality environment.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out routine and specialised laboratory testing on yarn, loomstate, dyed and coated fabrics
Ensure results meet internal and customer specifications, escalating issues where necessary
Accurately record test results and maintain laboratory documentation for audit purposes
Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
Raise and support non-conformances and corrective actions
Work closely with production teams to provide real-time quality feedback
Support ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 audits and continuous improvement activities
Assist with new product trials and preparation of customer samples
Follow all health, safety and environmental procedures within the laboratory

Experience & Skills Required
Previous experience in a quality, laboratory or manufacturing environment (textiles preferred)
Experience working within ISO 9001 and/or ISO 14001 standards
Good understanding of manufacturing processes
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Clear communication skills and a proactive approach
Awareness of 5S standards and good housekeeping practices
