Business Development Executive £32,000 + £6,000 OTE (pro rata) 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Predominantly Home-Based We’re recruiting a confident Business Development Executive for an established business within the commercial furniture and workplace sector. You’ll follow up existing marketing and lead-generation activity, researching businesses that are relocating, refurbishing or changing their workplace and identifying where there is a genuine requirement for new office furniture. This is a quality-focused B2B role. The aim isn’t simply to book appointments – it’s to have credible conversations with decision-makers, understand their plans and identify genuine commercial opportunities. The Role * Research prospects and identify key decision-makers. * Contact businesses by phone and email. * Understand workplace plans, timescales and potential furniture requirements. * Qualify genuine current and future opportunities. * Secure appropriate meetings or site surveys. * Develop longer-term opportunities that may be 6–18+ months away. * Maintain accurate CRM records and follow-up activity. About You You’ll be confident picking up the phone and comfortable speaking with business owners and senior decision-makers. You’ll be articulate, commercially aware, inquisitive, organised and persistent without being pushy. Previous B2B business development, outbound sales or appointment-setting experience is preferred. Experience in commercial furniture, interiors, fit-out, workplace solutions or another project-led B2B sector would be particularly relevant. Package Salary: £32,000 pro rata OTE: £6,000 pro rata Contract: Initial 6-month fixed-term contract Location: Predominantly home-based, with an office catch-up approximately once every two weeks
